Six months ago, we embarked on an exciting journey with M-space Malahide to create the first truly hybrid event – an innovative blend of physical and virtual experiences that catered to a diverse audience. Traditional events typically offer either in-person or online participation, but this partnership resulted in something extraordinary. We went beyond convention, enhancing the reach of the event and offering flexibility that resonated with attendees.

The event’s physical space was filled to capacity, yet we extended our reach, accommodating 50% more attendees in our unique virtual office – ReSocialize. In essence, we transformed constraints into opportunities.

We added a special touch by customizing the virtual space to mirror the physical one. Logos, floor plans, and even wall art from M-space Malahide’s office were replicated virtually. This immersive design made virtual attendees feel as if they were part of the physical event, navigating through a digital replica of the actual venue.

In a bid to foster real-time participation, the physical event was streamed into the virtual room. Although there was limited time for Q&A with the speakers, the presence of ReSocialize personnel in the virtual space ensured seamless communication and engagement.

Our innovative approach to networking wasn’t limited to the virtual attendees. Attendees at the physical location had the opportunity to mingle virtually with guests. This interchange sparked curiosity and excitement about the potential of our platform.

The addition of a virtual space increased the event’s capacity significantly. The restriction of geographical location was virtually erased. We welcomed participants from different countries, particularly Sweden, breaking barriers and extending the event’s reach beyond Dublin.

Like Philip, the VP at JP Morgan Chase, guests could log in and out at their convenience, enjoying the event in bite-sized moments without the commitment of continuous presence. The simplicity of using ReSocialize struck a chord with many. The ease of setting up an account, walking around, leveraging the spatial sound, and viewing the event on the big screen offered an enjoyable and effortless experience.

This event was a pioneering endeavor, paving the way for a new era of hybrid events that unite physical and virtual spaces seamlessly. While tangible commitments to use ReSocialize are still in the pipeline, the event left a profound impact on attendees. It’s no longer a question of whether hybrid events are the future – they are here, and ReSocialize is at the forefront, leading the way.
